Mesquite, with 24,971 residents, is a friendly city on the Nevada-Arizona border along Interstate 15 that welcomes tourists and businesses a great deal. Located half-way between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City on Interstate 15 and Las Vegas is only 90 minutes to the south which links visitors to the Entertainment Capital of the World.

TAX STRUCTURE


Mesquite has one of the lowest local tax rates in Nevada, which enjoys one of the lowest state tax structures in the nation. Taxes NOT collected in Nevada: Personal income tax, corporate income tax, taxes on groceries, inventory tax and foreign trade zone tax. This makes Nevada a tax friendly state for retirees.

CLIMATE

Average monthly temperatures in Mesquite are quite pleasant. High temperatures of over 100 occur during July and August. Extreme lows in the 20s and teens occur during November through February.
